Exquisite property
The castle's renovation cost tens of millions of euros
In the heart of Franche-Comté, close to the Swiss border, lies a fantastic 14th century castle which was completely done up in a neo-gothic style in the 19th century. Its recent renovation involved more than a hundred professionals, lasted two years and costed tens of millions of euros. Says the Mercure Bourgogne Franche-Comté agency: “Every continental window catch, handle, lock and the entire electricity and plumbing systems have been redone in every single detail.” Sold empty or furnished, the castle is listed in the supplemental Inventaire des monuments historiques and has more than 2,000 sq m of living space to offer. The 50+ rooms include countless bedrooms, each with their own style and furniture. Outbuildings (a garden house and stalls with riding stables) have also been refurbished. Additional buildings of this 80 ha secluded property include a tennis court and a building with its own 2,100 sq m inner courtyard
