“We cover the whole of Normandy. 98% of our clients are French, with an overwhelming majority of Parisians, as well as a few Belgian, Dutch and Luxemburg citizens. The latest trend is for clients to purchase our bigger properties as their main address of residence, since partial retirement and telecommuting allow for four-day stays during the week. After a weak fourth quarter in 2008, luxury sales have gone up again, with a caveat: around Deauville, thatched cottages, farms and converted pressing sheds which used to go for 500 or 600 K€, aren’t selling anymore. Conversely, luxury estates, from 5 M€up, still do, as Deauville and Trouville remain very attractive.”
